Hardly anyone had heard of Anouk until October 2, 1996 Anouk released her first single "Mood Indigo". The song is written by Barry Harry and George Kooymans of the Golden Earring and never became a hit and did not reach the Dutch top 40. A beautiful video clip was made for it, in which Tattoo King "Hanky Panky" also played a role. Only later, when Anouk broke through with Nobody's Wife, the video clip was broadcast widely on music channels like TMF.
